The Primary teachers have taken on a diverse range of roles and responsibilities in Senthil Matric. Hr. Sec. School. The primary school, considering the nature of this expanding workforce in primary education. Primary varies greatly in many ways including size, location, approach to children’s education and the curriculum, and the nature of their pupil and staff groups. We consider their perspectives in relation to their own experiences and ideas about primary schools.
English being the universal language is made convenient for the children by practising as campus language. The Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing skills are enriched through various activities and assessments. Grammar is taught connecting with their real life situations, thus, it is not another subject for children. The beauty of the language is established in their minds through poetry and their vocabulary is enhanced through prose. The Communicative skills of the children are highly focused and their proficiency is exposed in sorted competitions and events.
Tamil classes enrich Tamil by making the children speak only in Tamil with refined vocabulary. The basic grammar is taught with various teaching aids such as flash cards, things from mundane environment, etc., which helps them differentiate related things easily. Standard vocabulary is introduced to children. Programs and events are conducted to exhibit the children’s expertise in Tamil.
To know the importance of Hindi, Interactive teaching makes the children acquire good knowledge in LSRW skills which inculcates the importance of our National Language. We provide different vocabulary words to give brimming knowledge in Hindi for our children.
The basic math skills, teachers provide in early childhood education set the building blocks for the entire academic career. Without learning simple skills like number sense, math concepts and simple application of ideas like adding, children are not prepared to move into elementary education. It provides opportunities for developing important intellectual skills in problem solving, deductive and inductive reasoning, creative thinking and communication. Demonstrates mathematical concepts using models, chalkboard, overhead projector, and other standard or teacher – prepared instructional aids. Designs learning activities that will relate mathematics to the physical world. Teachers’ courses in mathematics to secondary pupils utilizing core curriculum publications as guidelines in teaching individual course content as approved by the Board of Education.
Well – developed classroom with projector facility to demonstrate videos on topics to present attractively. An initiative of science department “Eco committee” sees the use of natural and bio-degradable things among the students to encourage them to follow “Go Green, Save Earth” Concept. Different kinds of experiments, sample collection by students helps in their individual development of understanding by performing themselves.
Students consider computer classes as enjoyable thing. When Children join our family, we make them feel their Computer classes in a fun way learning and acquire technical wisdom by integrating children centered learning techniques, it includes Desene Animate, Digicos, Tuxpaint, MS Word. Import of our teaching doesn’t end up only with marks, their higher order thinking level is exhibited when they draw on their own. We give enough exposer to the students in puzzle side of Computer Science, facing a problem and guiding students towards a solution. Here, we allow students work co-operatively to solve problems and create programs. These collaborative skills can benefit students who aspire to work in the Computer science realm.

Everyday a new vocabulary is acquainted in the classes to enrich the vocabulary knowledge of our children.Book review will be done once in a month to make them read unfamiliar books, through which reading habit is inculcated in all the children.Textbook plays and stories in the lessons are enacted by the children emphasizing dialogue deliverance. This is to improve the pronunciation of the children. LSRW skills of the children are enhanced through various activities.

Being the core subject is given ample importance. Every chapter is dealt with precision & the usage of Math in daily life is instilled in the minds of the children. Math is not only taught in the classes but lot of scope is given to mould the children to practice and enjoy Math. It’s included in the Term wise competitions, where children are given ample scope to excel in math. Worksheets for every chapter; concept test which helps the child to analysis the problems and to solve them; home test to give them complete revisions, are some of the methods which are included in math to make it as a interesting subject amongst the children. Visual media is used, group discussions are conducted, quiz programs are organized to create interest in the subject, and competitive exams like International Math Olympiad, MasterJee are introduced in the regular stream to help them face new challenges put forth.
Physics is a major core subject which plays a vital role in 6 – 8 category. Physics is about teaching what is happening around us with laws. In our category, students are showing more interest to learn physics. Teaching the subject practically and theoretically making them to enhance more knowledge and skills. Students were learning the subject enthusiastically.
Experiments given in the book are practically experimented in the classes to involve children in learning science interestingly. Children are initiated to conduct model presentation based on the textbook content innovatively to sprinkle the thought of inventing new things scientifically. Every year science expo is organized to recognize the inventions of our children. Children are trained to learn Science in comparison with day to day life happenings to know the scientific secret which is hidden behind, process of human life.
As they say “Bio – logy” is all about the study of life. The basic foundation to the core branch of science – biology is laid here in VI – VIII Category. Teaching biology is done by child – centered activity methodologies, Experimental & analyzing techniques in order to inculcate PRAGMATISM and higher order thinking skills in the students. Social science is a branch of study with deals with Human Beings, Their Relationships, Behavioral growth and development. Awareness of the world and environment lessons in social studies related to topics like My Family, My Neighborhood, Community Helpers, Early Man, Indus Valley civilization, Modern Indian History, etc. Helps to develop critical thinking abilities social studies inculcate higher order thinking abilities and skills like comprehension, application, analysis, Evaluation and synthesis, creativity in students.
National songs are practiced in the classes to strengthen the pronunciation of our children. Teachers converse only in Hindi to enhance the communication of our children. Children are given the task of narrating stories based on the lessons taught in the class to make them speak Hindi fluently. Hindi competitions are conducted to motivate children to learn Hindi language profoundly.
Computer Science classes expose the children to learn new aspects which in turn paves way to learn practicalities of the modern world, where everything is computers. The online exams & practical’s in computer science makes the children aware of the usage of computers and provides them ample space to face the healthy competition whereby they are made to prepare their own projects, these presentation and projects enhances their creativity and skills which they can portray in their future endeavors with full of confidence and right attitude.
