The Children of Senthil Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Category I to VIII, celebrated National Librarians’ Day with great enthusiasm and joy to honour Dr. S. R. Ranganathan, the Father of Library Science in India.The celebration commenced with a prayer and a special tribute to Dr. Ranganathan during the assembly. An inspirational speech was delivered by the President and Vice President of the Readers’ Club, highlighting the importance of books and reading in shaping young minds.

The children who demonstrated remarkable interest and participation in library activities were felicitated under categories such as Best Involver in the Library, Best Reader of the Month, and GK Quiz Winners. A range of engaging activities, including Treasure Hunt, Spelling Bee, Readathon, and Character Sketch, added excitement to the celebration. These activities encouraged the children to develop reading habits, creativity, vocabulary, general knowledge, and active involvement in library activities. The celebration served as a meaningful tribute to Dr. S. R. Ranganathan and inspired the children to discover the joy of reading and embrace the library as a gateway to knowledge and imagination.
